welcome fellow interneters
So here we are again, in the realm of the interwebs, looking for escapism amongst the cyber pages hoping to find shreds of hilarity through the digitised humanity of social network integration. More and more information is uploaded and read every day, spewing forth its unedited unchecked facts, its LOLcat joviality and its MEME mirth. What did we do before the internet?
Im trying to think now. I did a lot of craft, and played a thing called sport. I guess I had no where to spam the general populace other than screaming on the front porch or sticking notes to peoples cars. Then the world brought us the internet on dialup, followed by the ever faster ADSL. From there grew social networks like MySpace and LiveJournal… so many wasted years of gibberish noted. But I did enjoy having all my interests in one place. It was an index of things I liked from the world wide web. Then Facebook came along and at first, I thought “Great, this works just as well.” But not all good things last (just look at the Indiana Jones movies… I want stab my eyes if I ever see scenes from The Crystal Skull). Every day, its changing and rearranging my stuff and I thought, “NO!” and remembered that I had been paying for a website, for a pretty long time now and not really done much with it.
So I metaphorically dusted off the website name and attached it to such a blog as this. The world is my oyster now! Well, maybe a non-seafood equivalent for all us that hate seafood… maybe The world is my Kinder Surprise… you never know what you could find inside and eventually, I’ll end up with a website full of random crap that may entertain and amuse all who venture forth to read it.
And so, it begins…
